Try
and be aware of the many occasions we have to exercise
our feeling of touch:
Hot and
cold
Soft and hard
Limp and prickly
Pleasant impressions
? or unpleasant ?
A touch is also a way of feeling or giving affection: a caress,
tenderness, sexuality, so many occasions for all sorts of emotions.
We might experience certain disorders which express themselves
on the skin: blushing, turning pale, a rash ? Can we read what
our skin is telling us ?
We might have been aware
of the absence of a friendly touch when we lack
affection. How did we get through these periods
?
With very old people,
with sick people, even loved ones nearing death,
touching is like a new language.
