Exercise 7 : Attention and imagination

Here are ten words.

Try and write three different sentences or brief stories, adding the words needed to connect them.

Rocket – Grotto – Spider – Forest – Owl
– Broom – Cellar – Witch – Carpet - Light

 

A possible sentence :

“Locked away in her cellar, with spiders all around her, the witch was thinking of her grotto in the forest, where she would ride her broomstick to fly out like a rocket on her carpet of light.”

  Try and write at least two more.

While you are doing it, be conscious of how your attention is being focussed.
